Can Ya Makan is a prolific winner at CSI5* level, and has represented Ireland in Nations Cups. He is a very well bred horse, with excellent technique over his fences and is very versatile. He is well put together, with strong quarters, and great feet. He has been a winner at every level and in all types of classes including Six Bar, Puissance, Grand Prix, Speed, and Derby classes. He has very successful progeny jumping up to Grand Prix on the showjumping circuit and 4* eventing.
Can Ya Makan has won classes up to 1.60 at 5* level. In 2022 he won the 60th anniversary of the 1.60m Hickstead Derby with the only clear round. He also won the Speed Classic and the Speed Derby at CSIO5* Dublin Horse Show in 2018, the Speed Classic at the CSIO5* Longines Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead and the Negrita Cup at the CSIO5* Nations Cup Final in Barcelona in 2018. HIs winnings are currently over £300k.
He has 52% blood which makes him a useful event horse sire.

Canturo is a bay Holsteiner stallion by Cantus, known for a top international career that included the 2004 Olympic Games, wins such as the Spruce Meadows Grand Prix and Aachen’s Prize of Europe, and strong finishes at major shows across Europe. He later became an influential sire with 850+ offspring, 56 licensed sons, and 40+ 1.60m performers
DAM
Aroma dam’s side is Fier Du Lui Z. Fier De Lui Z was a 1971 Selle Français stallion, standing 1.75m, by the influential Thoroughbred Rantzau xx, and competed up to 1.60m level. He produced around 70 offspring and is valued for adding blood, refinement, and athleticism to sport horse pedigrees, carrying forward the same influential line that also produced Cor de la Bryère.
PROGENY
We have some very exciting young horses by Can Ya Makan at Breen Equestrian and Team Z7. They are showing exceptional technique and power over fences. The last couple of years, his foals have been very successful in the British Breeding Futurity series. He has progeny competing at 1.50m level in showjumping and 4* level eventing; he is also the sire of the 2024 7-year-old World champion.
