Breen Team on Top Form
July has been one of our busiest and most rewarding months yet at Breen Equestrian. With non-stop action, we couldn’t be happier with what the team have achieved.
At Chard International CSIO3* ‘Fan Fan De Beaufour’ owned by Chris Warren delivered a brilliant performance with Shane Breen taking 2nd in the CSIO3* 1m45, another fantastic result for this pairing.
Then it was all systems go for the Agria International Horse Show and the highly anticipated Brilliance Auction. Being held at home turf, at Hickstead, gave the auction the perfect stage to showcase the string of top-class quality horses. We want to thank everyone who attended and supported the inaugural Summer Brilliance Auction, and congratulations to all the new owners of the special horses in this collection.
Building on the excitement of the auction, the team also achieved great success throughout the show, with the young horses showcasing their abilities. ‘Z7 Pink Panther’ maintained his consistent form, securing 4th place in the 7&8 year old qualifier in the iconic main ring with Katie Speller. Liam Hayes and ‘BE Valencia’ finished 5th in the Newcomers Final in the main ring, showing a lot of promise for the future. In the 5-year-old class, it was a 1 -2 win with ‘Now What’ coming 1st and ‘Thats Why’ coming 2nd with Liam Hayes. The Nations Cup brought the Royal International show to a thrilling close with Georgia Tame shining as she piloted Decker Sporthorses ‘Be Golden’ to secure the Silver Medal for Team Great Britain.
We were incredibly proud of Darcy Breen and her pony ‘One Saharhah’, which earned her a place among the best youth riders in Europe, representing Team GB at the Pony European Championships in Le Mans, France. The pair performed phenomenally in the team competition, jumping three clear rounds, which contributed to Team GB securing the gold. Darcy then went on to clinch a Silver Medal in the final and returned home with not one, but two well-earned medals. It won’t be a week that we will not forget anytime soon.
Our horses also shone brightly at the British Young Horse Championships at Hickstead, with all of them putting in impressive rounds with all of our riders. The highlight of the week was Georgia Tame and Breen Auction Alumni ‘BE Thiassi’ speeding to the win in the 7-Year-Old British National Championship to pick up their ticket to the World Breeding Championships for Young Horses in Lanaken!
Now, the team’s full focus shifts to the Hickstead September Tour, where the 2025 edition of the Breen Equestrian Auction will take place on September 6th.
July has been packed with moments to remember. A huge thank you to our fantastic team, dedicated owners, and amazing sponsors.
