Al Shira’aa Horse Show

This week, the team headed to the Al Shira’aa Horse Show for yet another exciting show in the sun.

The team were on fire on Thursday, with no one touching a pole all day. Shane piloted Z7 Regal Don to a clear round in the 2* 1.40, and Z7 Porsche left all the fences up in the 7-year-old to finish in 12th. David schooled BE Aquila around the 6-year-olds for an 11th placing, with Foudre F clearing all the obstacles in the 4* Grand Prix Qualifier. Trevor and Germaine W also stunned the crowds in the 4* Grand Prix Qualifier, but it was Z7 Caretina and Georgia who landed a podium finish, speeding to 3rd place. Meanwhile in the 4* 1.40, David and Shane both claimed places in the top three, with David on Elmira Mail taking home 2nd and Vistogrand and Shane just one behind in 3rd.

The rest of the weekend saw more great results. Trevor and last week’s 2* Grand Prix winner, Toyger, claimed 6th in the 2* 1.40 whilst in the 4* section, Vistogrand and Shane slotted into 4th place in the 1.40. Toyger then did one better in the 2* Grand Prix, speeding to a strong 5th place finish in a highly competitive class.

In the young horse finals on the Sunday, we were more than thrilled with how the next generation performed. David expertly piloted BE Aquila around the 1.30 6-year-old final, claiming 5th place whilst in the 7-year-old final, Shane and Z7 Porsche proved to be best in the class to take first place. We are so excited about these two stallions and can’t wait to see what the future holds for them!

A huge congratulations to David who came 3rd on Foudre F in the 4* Grand Prix. We are thrilled to continue to be a part of David’s career, especially when riding a Breen Equestrian sourced and produced horse. Well done David!

A huge thanks again to Team Z7 for their continued support and hospitality, none of this would be possible without you!
