A stunning finish to LGCT Rome

We were back at the stunning Circo Massimo this week in Rome for the second week of LGCT & GCL.

The Kennedy brother’s KBS Major Player made his first 5* appearance in this historic arena and really stepped up to the stage, showcasing his terrific jump, scope and presence. His 5* debut was topped with a top 15 placing in the 5* 1.50 on the Friday to land in the money. We can’t wait to see this 9-year-old gelding at his next outing!

Z7 Ipswich was once again a star of the show. Consistently fast and clear, Team Z7’s legendary gelding took 3rd place in the GCL Second Round on Saturday to land New York Empire on the podium with a 3rd place finish. It was fantastic to share the podium with fellow Irishman, Denis Lynch, and with New York Empire now lying-in 8th in the Global Champions League, it’s still anyone’s game!

What an experience it has been to be at the Circo Massimo and with the arena having witnessed horses for the first time in 2,000 years, it’s been an absolute honour to be part of this historic event and we well and truly hope we made our mark. We can’t wait to be back next year!
