Golden Hawk is a powerful, attractive horse showing excellent conformation and a genuine, kindly temperament.

His athleticism combined with a careful, scopey jump saw him make his mark early in his career. After proving himself in the age classes, he progressed quickly and is now a consistent performer on the world stage.

A truly versatile horse, Golden Hawk has proven himself at Grand Prix and Nations Cup level and across six bar, puissance, speed and derby classes. He has over £350k in prize money and continues to travel the world, taking on some of the biggest and most challenging tracks under Ireland’s Shane Breen.

Golden Hawk has excellent fertility rates and has sired progeny competing to 1.60 internationally.

In 2010 Vigo d’Arsouilles together with Philippe le Jeune won the gold medal at the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky. Vigo d’Arsouilles’ sire Nabab de Rêve also ridden by Philippe le Jeune was a member of the Belgian bronze medal winning team at the 2002 WEG in Spain. A well-developed horse out of a strong dam-line, Vigo d’Arsouilles is SBS-approved and KWPN- recognized. As well as Golden Hawk, Vigo is also the sire of Super Trooper de Ness (ridden by McLain Ward), Ego van Oti (ridden by Edwina Tops Alexander), Vagabond de la Pomme (ridden by Penelope Leprevost), Donatella N (ridden by Nicola Philippaerts).

Colmar is an international Grade A stallion, competing at 1.60m level.

He is approved by the Breeders Elite Studbook and by Colestus, who jumped to 1.60m level and who was in turn by the great Cornet Oblenksky. His dam line is Quidams Rubin/Quidam de Revel.

Colmar was a prolific winner through the age classes and stepped up to 1.40m and 1.50m level as an 8 year old. His obvious ability saw him step up to 1.60m Grand Prix level as a 9-year-old, with a win in the 2* Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi in 2020. He has also been a regular on the Global Champions Tour with some fantastic performances around the world.

Colmar is an elegant horse with a beautiful head and a kind eye. He has text book technique with neat presentation of his front legs over fences. He also combines a big canter with a lightness that makes him beautiful to watch. His damline shows a heavy thoroughbred influence and this is evident in his own progeny. They are lovely types all of whom have inherited his qualities and are already making their mark both internationally and at young horse championship level.

A handsome and well put together horse, Clyde is by Caretino and out of Quintero mare.
He has been a prolific winner across the age classes and is now competing to great success at 5*/1.60m level at some of the most prestigious shows around the world.

He is a brave and shows scope combined with correct technique and beautiful movement. With a mannerly and kind temperament, Clyde is often enjoyed by different riders and hacks happily alongside mares and ponies. Only recently he was used for a celebrity TV special in dressage lesson and hack around the Hickstead show ground, in which he behaved impeccably. This 2012 son of Quick Star is a beautifully stamped type with an exceptional temperament and fantastically scopey, careful and correct jump. He has a particularly careful back end over fences and this trait stamps strongly, appearing in his progeny.

In 2020, he collected many results and placings at 1.40m level, competing on the Middle Eastern Tour in Abu Dhabi and also on the Vilamoura Champions Tour in Portugal.

Lucky is one of the most exciting young stallions to stand in the UK. With fantastic bloodlines
and a fabulous temperament he has proven to be a very popular sire. At 3 years old he was
Champion at his KWPN grading where he scored the highest ever set of marks at that time.
Excellent XRAYS and he is WFFS free. As a 4 and 5 year old, he has been popular with
breeders producing over 100 foals already. They are great types and look of super quality.

Lucky started his competition career at Breen Equestrian with Shane Breen in the autumn of
2021 and will be aimed at age classes in 2022.

012 - Lucky Luck 

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and supported our Christmas Auction. A fantastic evening filled with Christmas spirit, exciting horse sales, fabulous food and delicious drinks. 

We welcomed the public to Hickstead on the 14th for a night of Christmas magic. We had 17 exciting lots to sell, including two pretty ponies, nine top class British foals and six exciting 3&4yos on offer.  

The lots sold quickly, with our top sale being the lovely 3-year-old BE Valencia (Cuick Star Kervec x Zarnita) who went for £61,000. We are so excited to follow what this future star will go on to do, with his full sister, BE Coolham, being sold in our last auction and already impressing in her new home and recording top results in the 5-year-old classes at MET.  

Our top foal of the night was B.E. Malachi, and the hammer dropped on him at £15,000. By the KWPN Champion Lucky Luck and out of the 5* 8-year-old mare Elmira Mail, this foal has a black type pedigree with the looks and confirmation to back it up. He will be one to watch in the future and we wish the owners the best of luck with him!

BE Christmas Foal, 3&4 YO Auction

The past couple of months has seen Shane and the Breen Team go from strength to strength. August was jam-packed full of shows in the UK, Ireland and Europe, kicking off at Bolesworth where the young horses added miles onto their clock and Z7 Regal Don took 4th in the 2* GP Qualifier. 

Heading over to Ireland, it was the super mare Haya who never was out of the top 10 in the 5* classes at Dublin, taking 5th in the 5* Minvera Stakes, 4th in the 5* Speed Derby and 8th in the 5* Speed Championship. We have always believed this mare was going to be special and she's proven that every time she steps in the ring!

At LGCT, Valkenswaard - Vistogrand jumped phenomenal to help the Rome Gladiators come 3rd, but the highlight of the month was our first ever hybrid auction taking place which was a huge success. This has been an incredible addition to Breen Equestrian and we are excited to be hosting more in the future.

Rolling into September, where Ellen and Shane followed the LGCT around the world. In Rome, Italy, Z7 Ipswich proved to be quick and careful to win the opening 5* class, and fllowed up this perfomance in New York by jumping clear for the Rome Gladiators. In the big apple, it was Haya's time to take the victory - speeding to top spot in the 5* 1.45 Speed Class.  

Earlier this month, Shane took a team up to Birmingham for the Horse of the Year Show and they did not disappoint. Vistogrand jumped to 3rd in the 3* Accumulator as well as joint 2nd in the 6-bar to showcase his scope but it was Cuick Star Kervec who was star of the show, winning the iconic Leading Showjumper of the Year 3* Grand Prix - a fantastic way to start indoor season!
