South of England Show 2017

June 18, 00:00

The South of England Show is our most local County Show, and one of the biggest, busiest shows there is, with three days of excellent jumping and every sort of display, from cattle to combines, that you can possibly think of - a real eye-opener for any horse.

This year the Team Z7 horses arrived in the week before the show, so this was an excellent opportunity to get as many as possible in the ring.

Thursday got off to a good start with Andres Vereecke coming 5th on our own Coquette Chapotiere, and Julien Feuillerac taking 8th place with Z7 Diamond. At the end of the day Shane won a strong 1.35 class with Team Z7's Cordano.

On Friday Shane won the Newcomers with Z7 Can ya Dance and Georgia Tame was 8th in the Foxhunter on Z7 Qamar, Michaela Tomlinson was 5th with our homebred Birmena. Shane then won a red hot 1.30 with Team X7's Cit Cat, Sarah Lewis was 3rd with her own Doonaveeragh Emma, and Georgia was 5th with Clyde VA.  Shane then took 6th in the 1.40 with Team Z7's Laith.

On Saturday Georgia and Team Z7's Cash-up set a target nobody could beat in the 1.40 Accumulator in the main ring. Silbermond and Shane jumped two lovely rounds to come third in the Grand Prix with our former pupil Dereck McCoppin 6th on Zaire. Sarah and Kvint were 5th in the 1.15 and Shane completed his hat-trick of wins on Freezing Rain in the 1.30 with Sarah 6th on her own Benny.
