CSI4* Liverpool 2017

January 08, 00:00

Shane took CFS Vendi Cruz and Ispwich van de Wolfsakker for the CSI4* at Liverpool.  Trevor took Clyde VA and his own Bombay, and Matthew Sampson added DY Korette to his rides for the show. Chris Megahey took his own Seapatrick Cruise Cavalier for the Puissance.

The show started on Friday and Matt and DY Korette got off to an excellent start with 5th in the 1.40 speed with Trevor and Clyde VA 12th.  Ispwich van de Wolfsakker made a very stylish end to the first day with 2nd place in the 1.50 ranking class.

On Saturday Brian Cassidy's CFS Vendi Cruz won the 1.45 speed and Ipswich van de Wolfsakker was 2nd in the 1.50, and Chris Megahey and Seapatrick Cruise were joint first in the Puissance.

On Sunday CFS Vendi Cruz had another successful class and was 2nd in the 1.45, but sadly Clyde VA and Trevor never jumped in this class as fire had already broken out in the car park, and the essential decision was made not to allow the last three competitors to jump.  The very serious nature of the fire meant that the Echo Arena had to be evacuated and it was not possible to jump the Grand Prix.

Many congratulations to Nina Barbour and her team, not only on hosting a lovely show, but also for handling the evacuation and subsequent logistics so ably and efficiently.
