Cagnes sur Mer

Shane, Julien, Georgia and Nattie took two lorry loads of horses for two weeks to Cagnes sur Mer in the South of France at the end of March. Shane took Silbermond, Ipswich van de Wolfsakker, Freezing Rain, Brendon Stud's 7 year old stallion Warratino and 9 year old stallion Fabrice van Overis, Karen Swann's Danique and Brian Cassidy's CFS Vendi Cruz. Georgia rode Clyde VA and Colmar, Julien took Burnt Again and BE Check it Out.

Week 1

The week got off to a good start in the 2* 1.30 when Brian Cassidy's CFS Vendi Cruz was 4th, Julien and Burnt Again were 9th and Georgia and Clyde VA were 15th and clear.

Freezing Rain was 17th in the 1.30 and Fabrice van Overis was 11th in the 2* 1.35.

In the 1.15 Warratino and Colmar were both clear.

On Friday Morning Fabrice van Overis got the day off to an excellent start with a win in the 1.35 while Georgia and Clyde VA wre 10th.  Ipswich van de Wolfsakker was 3rd in the 1.45 and Danique was clear in the 1.30 to finish 16th.

On Saturday Freezing Rain was clear in the 1.20, Danique was clear in the 1.30 and CFS Vendi Cruz was 6th in the 1.35. Warratino then won the 1.25, Fabrice van Overis was 5th in the 1.45 and Julien and Burnt Again were 10th.

On Sunday CFS Vendi Cruz was 3rd in the 1.40 with Burnt Again 3rd and Danique was 4th in the 1.35.

Week 2

On Tuesday Warratino and Colmar jumped clear and were equal first in the seven year olds.

In the 1.40 Julien and Burnt Again were 9th.

On Wednesday Warratino was 7th in the 7 year olds and Freezing Rain jumped clear to finish 20th. In the 1.40 Fabrice van Overis was 4th and CFS Vendi Cruz was 16th,

On Thursday Danique was 5th in the 1.35.

On Friday Georgia and Clyde VA were 12th in the U25 class.

On Saturday Danique was 7th in the 1.40.

On Sunday Silbermond was 6th in the 1* 1.40 Grand Prix, and Clyde VA and Georgia were 7th in the U25.
