January 24, 13:00

This week found the team in Sharjah, continuing to follow the Middle Eastern circuit. Time away from the British winter certainly seems to be having the desired effect on the horses, with all finding form and thriving in the sunnier climate.

The youngsters showed well, particularly in the 6-year-old classes with Shane and Z7 Dubai Castlefield collecting two 4th place finishes and Trevor and Z7 Porsche taking a 5th place.

Elsewhere, Georgia and Z7 Mevano were clear and 10th in the 1.05 with Georgia also clear in both the 1.25 and the 1.40 aboard Can Ya Dance. Also clear in the 1.25, Shane and Cuick Star Kervec and Jack and Elmira Mail.

It was a start list at full capacity in the 1.35 - with Georgia and Z7 Caretina clear, Trevor clear and then in 4th place aboard Highland President and Harvey, respectively and Jack recording a flawless clear round with KBS Major Player before taking the win with Jule van den Tinnenpot.

In the 1.40 classes Georgia and Can Ya Dance were clear, Jack and Elmira Mail finished in 12th place, while Shane nabbed victory in the 1.30 aboard Cuick Star Kervec.

It was an all-star line-up in the Grand Prix with 7 Breen combinations coming forward to contest the feature class. Trevor's rides - Highland President and Harvey each had one down in the first round as did Shane with both KBS Major Player and Gait L. While he piloted Z7 Ipswich through to the jump off, he elected to sit it out and let Georgia aboard Z7 Caretina and Jack and Jule van den Tinnenpot battle it out for a podium place.

It was tightly contested with the down to the wire result landing Jack in 2nd and Georgia in 3rd.
